Forget Valentine’s Day candy. How about little bite-sized morsels of ice cream covered in chocolaty goodness? You know I’ve always had a thing for mini food. Almond Dream Bites are basically a non-dairy, gluten-free version of a bon bon with no trans fat or highly refined sugars.
Spot-on and so very good – the almond milk ice cream has a smooth and creamy texture. The taste is just like vanilla ice cream with a hint of almond flavor. The chocolate covering is rich with a really nice crunch. It’s everything you would expect in a frozen novelty treat.
One serving is 15 pieces for 230 calories; about three servings in a container. That’s a lot of bites. I usually only eat about five of them at any one time, as that’s more than enough for me. So if I did my math correctly, that’s only about 77 calories, not too bad on the waistline.
Currently on sale at my local Whole Foods for $3.49 until February 15th, regular price is $4.29. There’s also a $1.00 off any two Dream beverage or frozen products coupon on their website. I’ll definitely be stocking up.

Oh I LOVE these things, I can eat a whole container in a sitting- they’re seriously dangerous little morsels! Even more dangerous is that fact that they’re also on sale at my local WF this week… for $5 / 2 containers. I can’t resist!

I don’t know if the recipe for these Bites has chagged, but I noticed that at least the chocolate version now says “contains traces of milk” Not “may contain”, but “contains”.
I don’t think these can be considered vegan.
Of course, we all choose what we want to eat, but if you really want to avoid animal products, you have to watch out for stuff like this,

OMG. I had some of those for the first time this weekend..they are serious!!Going back to get more.I have really missed ice cream; I am lactose intolerant and a newly established vegan,so I thought I would try them out. I love them!

watch out, i am a vegan too and I just ate some.. our out of curiosity I read the back label and say that it said “unsweetened chocolate contains milk.” and I freaked out . that is so gross and i was so excited to finally have a good ice cream. Damn it..watch out that happens alot. ?
Michelle says
I am eating them now and it says “may contain” because they are processed on shared equipment
Bobbi says
Just got off the phone with the company they admitted that the bites are not VEGAN they are processed on a machine that processes milk products and can be comntainated.
Sorry we were devated too we loved the product.

Some people, such as me, still consider it vegan- why boycott the product just because it’s made in the same factory? the product itself is vegan, just for allergy reasons they need to warn you about that so they don’t get sued. It’s highly unlikely there is anything in them.

on the box it sayd “unsweetened chocolate contains milk.” not may contain. it has it.

I love them . I think they should sell them in larger containers.
