It’s All Gravy

July 31, 2016 By chow 7 Comments

Miso Tofu with Truffle Coconut Gravy from It's All Gravy Food Truck

It’s All Gravy. It sure is.

What could be better than a food truck that specializes in modernizing the comfort food that is gravy? When it has a vegan option right off the menu. No need for a special request to leave off this or that.

Just order the MeSoTofu for a bowl of miso and chipotle marinated deep-fried tofu squares smothered with a truffle coconut gravy all atop of white rice with a side of spicy pineapple chunks. Doesn’t that sound delightful? It sure was.

Tip: if you’re eating it right then and there, dig in. If you’re getting it for later or can’t eat the whole thing in one go, get the gravy on the side to pour on top at your leisure.

A comfy food truck for everyone, I’m told the meaty items are also quite good. Super nice guys working there too. It’s all gravy and then some.

I do enjoy a vegetable component to my meals but this looks good enough that I’d settle with fruit!

A side vegetable would have been nice but the pineapple is actually very complementary to the dish. :-)

That looks good! There’s something about the word ‘gravy’ that makes me hungry. I’m still thinking about the tempeh gravy from Protein Ninja that I still have to make!

It was indeed good. I suppose that’s why gravy is such the comfort food that it is. :-)

I wish this truck would come up further north! I just heard about it too, and I really want to try that truffle gravy. It sounds like umami heaven!

This looks so good! It reminds me of a food truck in Austin TX call biscuits and groovy. Everything can be made with meat, vegetarian, or vegan.

I have a special fondness for all things gravy. When I was a student, post-pub food was the northern delicacy that was chips and gravy. This has the same gravy plus carbs thing, plus tofu, which can never be a bad thing.
