Skipping down the aisles at Target, I’m pleasantly surprised to see they’ve really stepped up their vegan game. There’s now quite a selection of vegan food items. I spotted Amy’s Asian Dumpling bowl in the frozen section. So excited as it’s been awhile since I’ve tried something new from Amy’s Kitchen.
At first bite, it’s a tad salty for my taste as is all frozen food entrees. I’ve been eating less salt nowadays, but that didn’t stop me from eating the whole thing. One portion is 400 calories, I could easily have eaten two of them. Or any of the other items from Amy’s Kitchen or Sweet Earth Foods.
Look, Kite Hill coconut milk yogurt over in the refrigerated section. Sure it’s only three flavors but at least there’s non-dairy yogurt now when before there wasn’t any at all. And right next to it, Silk Almondmilk yogurt. A different Target store had Kite Hill Greek-style yogurt as well so the Target offerings near you may also vary.
Turned around and what do I see? Miyoko’s vegan butter!
Also nearby, Annie’s Cinnamon Rolls and Flaky Biscuits. Remember that time when I made cinnamon roll bunnies with them?
And a selection of Daiya vegan cheese!
While I do most of my produce shopping at the farmer’s market, I will occasionally pick up the odd avocado while at Target and now any number of vegan treats to save myself a trip to another store.

Thanks for this awesome post. Vegan foods are much easier to find compared to 10 years ago when I started my journey. I’m so happy that it is more mainstreamed now. Yay!

I know! I totally remember what it was like back then when you basically had to go to the health food store to find anything. So happy it’s so much easier to find nowadays, and so much more variety. :-)

It’s so exciting to see more mainstream vegan options than ever before! It’s a totally different world out there compared to even three years ago, truly.

I don’t know what it is, but I love a good around people’s supermarket shopping especially when it’s from somewhere I don’t live. I really enjoy seeing all the interesting food vegans from around the world get to eat. Thanks for helping me scratch my inquisitive itch! I would have grabbed several pounds of butter and then put myself face first into the dumpling bowl.

Right back at you, I love seeing the vegan products on your side of the pond. More often than not, I find myself wishing we had that over here. :-)
